About Mrs. Wooten
Hello! My name is Megan Wooten, and I have been an ELA teacher since 1996. I grew up in the wonderful state of Ohio and attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education in 1992, and the received my M.Ed in 1998 from the Trevecca University. My first teaching job was for Robertson County schools in Tennessee where I taught 8th grade for four years.
I took 8 years off to raise my 2 girls and went back to work in 2008 in Macon, GA. I taught there for 5 years (9th Lit, 10th Lit, and American Lit) before we moved to the lovely Carrollton, GA.
I currently live in Carrollton with my husband, Rob, my precious dog, Atticus, and our 2 daughters (sort of--they are both off at college). I have been teaching at Central High School since the Fall of 2013. Here I have taught World Lit, AP English Language & Composition and American Literature with the best English Department in the world. I love Central High School, the faculty, the students, and the administration. GO LIONS!!!!!!
