Hello! My name is Kim Ivester and I'm proud to be a part of the amazing guidance office staff at Central High School serving students in 10th-12th grades with the last name L-Z.

I was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama. After graduating from Saks High School, I moved to Carrollton to attend the University of West Georgia to play volleyball and earn my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I also went on to earn my Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and a Specialist degree in Professional Counseling.

I worked for 11 years at Willowbrooke at Tanner before beginning my school counseling career in 2013. I have served at Bowdon High School and Haralson County High School before coming to Central High School.

I have been married to Bronson Ivester (teacher at Central Elementary School) since 2004 and we have 2 busy children: Brooklyn (CHS Class of 2023) and Jake (CHS Class of 2027).

In my free time, I love attending sporting events (especially ones at Central), spending time at the beach, and walking our dog, Bailey.

I'm so excited to be a part of the Lion Community and look foward to working with you all!

Go Lions!
