Welcome, parents and students!

My name is Ethan Caldwell; I teach Science here at Central High School. I was born and raised right down the road in Heard County, where I graduated in 2015. From there, I went to the other end of Highway 27 and received my Bachelor's degree in Biology & Secondary Education from Berry College in Rome, GA ('20). I followed that with a Masters in Biological Sciences at Clemson University ('23).

During my time at both Heard County and Berry, I had the opportunity to compete in Track & Field, with my specialty being in the pole vault. Additionally, I had the opportunity to serve in various capacities with nonprofit organizations, ranging anywhere from summer camps, to after school programs for elementary school children, and even volunteering as a coach. Through these experiences, I discovered that I have a passion for building relationships and helping others cultivate their own potential to pursue their goals; this is a major reason for why I am a teacher today.

In my free time, I love spending time with my wife and son. We enjoy walking on the Greenbelt and playing pickleball. Additionally, I run a pole vault club at the University of West Georgia as a means of sharing my experiences in athletics at both the high school and collegiate level with athletes in middle/high school as well as college.
