Meet Abbey Mason

Bio: 

I’m so excited to begin my fourth year teaching and first year as yearbook sponsor at Central High School and am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this community of teachers and students. My passion for building relationships with students as well as my love for language and books is what led me to pursue a career in teaching. I think World Literature is so important for the formation of students to gain new perspectives that will shape the individuals they are becoming. I don’t take lightly the privilege it is to guide and influence students towards both personal and academic growth and success!

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family and friends- whether in nature or over a cup of coffee. I value playing a part in the community around and love to help serve others however I can. 

I received my BA in English from the University of West Georgia in Fall 2020, and recently earned my MA in Teaching from UWG in Fall 2023.
