The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

 

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all headgear. Put cell phones away as you enter class. Students may NOT wear earbuds, headphones, or hats in school.

SHOUT OUT ~

Today’s super huge shout out goes to the Central High School Wrestling Team and Coach Knight for bringing home the Region Title over the weekend. Great job men!

Our second big shout out goes to our Central High School STAR student Jackson Burns and his STAR teacher, Mr. Joshua Smith! Congratulations!!

NEW NEWS ~

The Sadie Hawkins dance will be held on Saturday, February 5. You can now purchase your tickets for Sadie Hawkins on the Go Fan app! Tickets are $10 each. Be sure to buy your ticket in advance! If you are bringing a date that attends a different high school, you will need to get a permission slip from Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Morris, or the school website. The date permission forms are due Monday, January 31, so get yours turned in as soon as possible!

 

Attention students: Yearbook would like you to verify your school portrait! Please go to chs.carrollcountyschools.com/yearbook, and click on the portrait verification link. We want to make sure your picture is correct and your name is spelled the right way! The deadline for proofing is January 11. While you're on the yearbook page of the school website, take a minute to complete the student survey!

 

Men’s Soccer is hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Enjoy a good meal and support your 2022 Lions team!

 

Students can sign up to take the ASVAB in the Guidance Office through January 18. The ASVAB will be given January 31 at 8:30 a.m. in room 409. There is no cost for this test. Please contact Ms. Zerr with any questions.

 

AFTER SCHOOL ~ 

Basketball travels to LaGrange tonight. Make the short drive and support our 9th grade students!

 

DUES & DEADLINES ~

Senior Fees: $180 until February 11. Cash ONLY, see Linda Morris in the Media Center.

Yearbook: $85 . Cash, check, or online with PayPal. See Monica Smith in the yearbook room.

Junior Dues: $120. Cash or check, see Coach Perryman, Ms. Wooten or Ms. Smith.
