The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

 

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class. Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.

 

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the Central Lady Lions Softball Team for smashing Pickets County 8-0 last night. It was a great team effort for the ladies! Congratulations!

 

NEW NEWS

The guidance office is giving away free reusable water bottles! Stop by and get yours today!

 

The Sources of Strength team members should report to the TLC on the 400 hall during their lunch period today.

 

Central High School can send 16 students to work at the Carroll County Board of Elections on Election Day.  If you are interested, read the information and complete the form in your Google Classroom for your grade level with Guidance Information.  The deadline is midnight on October 19.  

 

Basketball tryouts will take place Wednesday, October 29 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. You must be in good academic standing with an updated physical in-hand. No physical - No Tryout. Sign up as limited tryout spots are available. Please only signup if you are serious about playing hard and are not currently playing football. Football player tryouts for basketball will take place at a later time. 

 

Students interested in participating in basketball cheerleading must have all paperwork turned in by October 19. Late paperwork will NOT be accepted and you will not try-out. Tryouts are October 20-22 in the cafeteria. See Coach Jordan if you have any questions.

 

Hey, students! Remember last year when Avree McGinnis won a $50 Chick-fil-A gift card because she bought her yearbook before Halloween? Guess what? You have that opportunity again! Buy your yearbook by October 30 to be entered in a raffle for a $50 gift card to Chick-fil-A! You can order online or drop your payment off with Mrs. Foley in the main office. Look for the online link from the yearbook page on the school website.

 

Today is the last day to collect money to fight polio! Turn in your donation to your first period teacher and win a Dunkin’ Donuts party, courtesy of Interact Club!

 

Attention students interested in joining FBLA: Please bring your dues to room 607 ASAP! 

 

It's time for our students to register for their AP Exams. The website for ordering the exams can be found by going to chs.carrollcountyschools.com, click the round button that says “Guidance” .  Then scroll down to where you see “2021 AP Exam Registration”. Check the website for payment instructions and test information. The deadline for ordering AP exams is Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Carroll County Schools is on fall break next week. Check the school calendar on the school website to support our athletes as they will be playing games throughout next week.
