Experience
I began my teaching career in 1994 at Lithia Springs High School in Douglas County, Georgia. There I taught 9th and 10th Grade Literature, British Literature, and World Literature, and I served as the yearbook sponsor. In 1999, I moved to Chapel Hill High School, also in Douglas County, where I taught Honors 9th and 11th Grade Literature, Applied Literature and Composition, Pacesetter English, and I also served as the English department chair.
I moved to Central High School in 2005. I currently teach Honors American Literature, British Literature, and I am also the yearbook adviser. The 2023-2024 school year marks my 30th year teaching high school English.
Additionally, I serve as a Carroll County Schools E3 Innovator and provide professional learning sessions on the Google Suite and on engagement strategies in the classroom.
