My Classes and What to Expect:

Instruction: We will discover history in a variety of ways and formats.

For example: Project Based Learning, Live Scripted Skits, Role Playing, Stationed Learning, Debates, Actively Learn, Videos, Courtroom Activities, Scavenger Hunts, and more. US History is a discussion based class, so your involvement is key. I try to make learning history as fun, interesting, simple, and relevant as possible. We will work hard at times, but you will also be rewarded for hard work with outside and in the classroom fun experiential activities every so often. Stellar Scholarly achievement will also be rewarded.

Bio: Hobbies, Life, and Education

About me

Hi, I hope all is well. I am Bo Jones. Mr. Jones or Coach Jones to my students. I am a husband and father. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 1 year old daughter. They are the center of my wife's and my world. Being a father helps me to fully comprehend the sacred duty of teaching. I see my students as sons and daughters and I am fully invested in each student and their future. I strive to build strong relationships with each of my students. I build my lessons based on the following students interest, cultural knowledge, creativity, and Georgia Standards. I design lessons that utilize as many of the nine multiple intelligences as possible, during the past 5 years many of my lessons had the potential, for all of the multiple intelligences to be utilized during instruction. I strive to relate required content to each student and the world around them. One of my main teaching philosophies is that I can teach anyone, anything, once I have their attention, which is why I try to be as creative as possible.

Hobbies:

My hobbies include spending time with family, fishing, hunting, farming, and trying to make a positive impact on any and everyone around me.
