Resource Officer Robert H. Lee Deputy Sheriff Carroll County |
The main objective of the Resource Officer is to make students aware of the importance of reducing crime and the use of alcohol and other drugs. This role allows the Resource Officer to serve as a liaison between the school and local law enforcement.
Deputy Lee is a life-long resident of Carroll County.
He graduated from Central High School in 1967 and Carroll Tech in 1968.
He served his country in Vietnam from 1970 through 1972. He began
his law enforcement career in 1976, as a deputy under Sheriff W. J. Robinson.
In 1977, he served as a Patrol Deputy Investigator and Chief Deputy under
Sheriff Hugh Lee Lambert. While under Sheriff Jack Bell, he served
as Capt. of Patrol and served in the Divisions of Criminal Investigation,
Warrant & Civil, and Court. Under Sheriff Terry Langley, he served
as Capt. of the Court Division. Under Sheriff Tony Reeves,
he was assigned to Capt. of the Jail Division. He has been certified
by the State of Georgia as a Law Enforcement Officer. He has attended
Floyd Junior College, The Police Academy (1976), Drug Enforcement (1978),
Criminal Investigation (1979), and High Speed Vehicle Pursuit. He has earned
over 1,000 hrs. of advance training for Weapons, Vehicle Pursuit, Drug
Enforcement, Finger Printing Techniques, Courtroom Testimony, and Evidence
Collection. His primary responsibilities at Central are the safety
and protection of students, faculty, and property. Thank you Deputy
