Automation System:
Central has been on the Surpass System since 1985.  It was the first school in Carroll County to become automated and also allow connectivity within the classrooms.  In the fall of 2002 the Media Center upgraded to Surpass II in order to facilitate the use of our collection.

Connectivity:

We serve as the Head-In for the Fiber Connection and the Carroll County fiber ring network.
We have total InterNet connection with every classroom.

(GSAMS)
Central is no longer a member of the Georgia State-wide Academic and Medical System.  Distance Learning is possible through a dedicated network between the High Schools of Carroll County.
Central utilizes classes over the Internet through the Virtual High School network.  In addition, Central has an ATM network which allows full video conferencing over the LAN and WAN.

Writing Lab:
The Media Center houses a writing lab which offers InterNet connectivity and writing programs.  The lab contains  instructional components to assist in the instruction of various programs.  A SMARTboard is set to assist and implement instruction.

Video Network:
Central is wired to provide a full range of video throughout the facility.  We are able to transmit video throughout the facility from a variety of sources, both live and recorded, through a centralized distribution system located in the media center.

The Central High School Media Center provides services to the faculty and students in the area of: lamination, Ellison Letters and graphics, binding, paper cutting, audio and video recording and editing, videotape duplication and repair, media duplication, sound reinforcement, photography, and graphic productions.

ID Cards:
