Announcements for Tuesday, February 11, 2020


The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class. Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.

Attention Seniors: Graduation fees need to be paid by Friday, February 14. Fees are $175 and can be paid in cash to Linda Morris in the Media Center. Fees increase after February 14 with no guarantee of receiving the custom gown for graduation.

Juniors and Seniors: Prom fees go up this Friday -- see Ms. Perryman, Ms. Duncan, or Ms. Abigail Smith for details.


Today’s big shout out goes to the JV boys soccer team for clobbering  Calloway 10 to 0. Goals scored by lots of guys !!! They play again Wednesday at Douglas County. Keep up the good work!

Our second shout out goes to JV girls soccer for smashing Calloway 5-0. Goals were scored by Grace Yoder, Cadie Kilgore, Anna Ayers, and Bethany Brock. Great job ladies!!


The National Honor Society will be meeting in Ms. Fountain’s classroom at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Be sure to attend! 

Today during lunch you will have the opportunity to write something kind on a slip of paper that will be linked with others and displayed in the 3-story building. Today’s Kindness Week quote is, “Kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change.”

FFA will meet today after school in the Ag Department. Celebrate with food, music, corn hole and fellowship. In addition, there will be a Greece interest meeting at 6:00 p.m.  in room 507.

The Interact Club will meet tomorrow before school at 7:45 a.m. and after school 3:35 p.m. in Mrs. Knowles room 719.


Senior Fees: $175 until February 14. CASH ONLY. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. Fees increase to $200 with no guarantee of receiving the custom gown for graduation.

Junior Prom Dues: $150 until February 13. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Yearbook Sales: $90; see Ms. Monica Smith.
