The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class. Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.

Students taking the school day ACT, please report to the Media Center computer lab at your assigned time for pre-registration.


Our first shout out goes to Senior Band Member Kenji Trumble for earning 3rd place honors and a College Scholarship at the Kiwanis Music Showcase! Great job Kenji!

Our second shout out goes to the Central High School wrestlers who participated in the 4A Section B tournament this weekend. In this tough tournament 11 out of 13 wrestlers went on to qualify for the state tournament and their chance to be a State Champion! Congratulations to all our state qualifiers.

In celebration of Kindness Week, we will be reading quotes and hosting special events during lunches. Today, look for words of encouragement on sticky notes in each of the restrooms. The quote of the day is, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” 

To celebrate National FFA Week, FFA members will have the opportunity to take advantage of Milkshake Monday! If you are an FFA member, you will receive a milkshake during your lunch period! 

FFA will be holding tailgate planning meetings today and tomorrow after school in the Ag Department. Celebrate with food, music, corn hole and fellowship. In addition, there will be a Greece interest meeting at 6:00 p.m.  in room 507.

The Interact Club will meet on Wednesday before school at 7:45 a.m. and after school 3:35 p.m. in Mrs. Knowles room 719.

Attention Seniors: Graduation fees need to be paid by Friday, February 14. Fees are $175 and can be paid in cash to Linda Morris in the Media Center. Fees increase after February 14 with no guarantee of receiving the custom gown for graduation.

If you are interested in trying out for competition cheerleading, please see Coach Perryman for information. Tryouts will be February 11, 12, and 13.

Junior Prom Dues: $150 until February 13. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Yearbook Sales: $90; see Ms. Monica Smith. 


Golf tryouts are tonight at 4:00 p.m. at Oak Mountain. JV soccer and varsity baseball play at home tonight.
