Central High School

Announcements for Wednesday, February 5, 2020


The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class. Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.


Today’s big shout out goes to the JV boys and girls won over LaGrange. Wins for boys came from Jacob Schmittou, William Butler, Reid Crow, Mikiah Johnson, and Brock McWhorter. Wins for the girls came from Kirstyn Dietrich, Maggie Francom, Laney Duffey, Darby Burns, Jully Roh, Keiaritie Thomas, and Natalie Wilson.

Our second shout out goes to the following football players signing letters of intent today. Ross Helton, Kashif Taylor, Isaiah Terry, C.K. Miller, and Dylan Carroll, 


If you are interested in trying out for competition cheerleading, please see Coach Perryman for information. Tryouts will be February 11, 12, and 13. 

The Closet of Kindness is collecting donated prom dresses that will be available for FREE for Central students attending prom. The Closet of Kindness will be open Friday, February 7, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the TLC on the 400 hall. Drop off donations in the guidance office.


All Key Club members need to get Golden K Pancake tickets from Ms. Bowen this week. This is a required activity for every member. 


Senior Fees: $175 until February 14. CASH ONLY. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. 

Junior Prom Dues: $150 until February 13. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Yearbook Sales: $90; see Ms. Monica Smith. 


Snacks with the Superintendent is open to the public after school at 4:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Mr. Cowart will be updating district news and sharing SPLOST information. The varsity tennis teams will  travel to Darlington tomorrow.
