Announcements for Tuesday, February 4, 2020

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class. Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams for beating Callaway yesterday. Winning for the girls were Elle Jones, Emily Jones, Avery McGinnis, Anna Cheatwood, Kira Babbs, Natalie Wilson, and Addison Denney. Wins for the boys came from Caleb Williams, Ty Thomas,  Blaise Bergiel, Mason Harden Lance Crawford, and Sachal Denney. Both boys and girls JV teams had wins too! The boys’ wins came from Will Smith & Brock McWhorter and the girls’ wins came from Kirstyn Dietrich, Jully Roh, Keiaritie Thomas, Darby Burns, Olivia Jackson.


Best Buddies will meet in the Media Center tomorrow at 7:45 a.m. We will be discussing Special Olympics and Valentine’s Day. Plan to attend.

If you are interested in trying out for competition cheerleading, please see Coach Perryman for information. Tryouts will be February 11, 12, and 13. 

The Closet of Kindness is collecting donated prom dresses that will be available for FREE for Central students attending prom. The Closet of Kindness will be open Friday, February 7, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the TLC on the 400 hall. Drop off donations in the guidance office.


All Key Club members need to get Golden K Pancake tickets from Ms. Bowen this week. This is a required activity for every member. 


Senior Fees: $175 until February 14. CASH ONLY. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. 

Junior Prom Dues: $150 until February 13. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Yearbook Sales: $90; see Ms. Monica Smith. 


Snacks with the Superintendent is open to the public on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Mr. Cowart will be updating district news and sharing SPLOST information. The varsity tennis teams will  travel to Darlington Thursday and JV tennis is home tonight against LaGrange.
