Announcements for Monday, November 18, 2019

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.


Today’s super big shout out goes to the following students who are signing their letters of intent this morning. Addi Lyle is signing with Presbyterian, Shirley Sharp is signing with Berry College, Taylor Stephens with the University of West Georgia, and Bishop Woods with Queen’s University. Congratulations!

Our second shout out goes to the Central High School Competition Cheerleaders for placing among the top six (6) teams in the state! Congratulations Cheerios and Coach Perryman.

Our third shout out goes to our “pin ‘em to the mat” wrestlers for finishing in 1st place in the 9th annual J.C. Ferrell Tournament. Congratulations men on a great team effort! 

Our final shout out of the morning goes to the art students who placed in last week’s Art Throwdown. Savannah Arnell and Chelsey Lynn Pruitt took 1st place in sculpture. Michelle Rodriguez and Avree McGinnis earned 3rd in street art, and Blanka Vinci took 3rd in drawing! Great job everyone!


The deadline for submitting your senior ad to the yearbook is quickly approaching. See Monica Smith for details!


Senior Fees: $150 until December 18. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. 

Junior Prom Dues: $125 until December 19. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Yearbook Ads: On sale through November 22. See Ms. Monica Smith for details.

Yearbook Sales: $90; see Ms. Monica Smith. 


Athletic Boosters meet in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. tonight and the softball banquet will be held at the Performing Arts Center at 6:00 p.m,
