Announcements for Friday, November 15, 2019

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.



Today’s big shout out goes to the Central High School eSports teams, bringing home 2 victories yesterday! The gaming Lions swept the Jones County eHounds 3 games to 0 in their match,  scoring 14 goals with 6 assists. The Roaring Lions continue to be undefeated, beating Dalton High school 3 games to 1 with an astonishing 35 goals and 19 assists for the night! Follow the teams on Twitter!

The second shout out goes to the Central High School Swim Team for finishing in 2nd yesterday at Calhoun. The men’s team had an outstanding meet. Both relays finished in second place and are close to making state cuts. Max Farmer added two more individual state cuts bringing his total to three. Canon Meyer added a State cut as well. The Lady Lions continue to make great strides. Mary Beth Griffin finished in first place overall in the 100 free. Newcomers Kaylee Crook and Allie Kate Ellison along with all members continue to impress with her work ethic and grit. 



Industry tour permission slips are due today in the guidance office.


Senior Fees: $150 until December 18. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. 

Junior Prom Dues: $125 until December 19. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Yearbook Ads: On sale through November 22. See Ms. Monica Smith for details.

Yearbook Sales: $90; see Ms. Monica Smith.
