SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the Central High School Swim Team for making  a big splash in their first meet of the year. Max Farmer became the first Lion to qualify for the state meet in back to back seasons and just missed qualifying in a second event. Canon Mayer also just missed out on a state qualifying cut. Both men’s relays are in striking distance of qualifying for the state meet. The Lady Lions had a strong showing led by Lanie-Grace Benefield’s 1st place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke. Hannah Prince finished 1st in the 100 yard backstroke and Mary Beth Griffin added two 3rd place finishes. Several others finished in the top 10. Great job Lions!

Our second big shout out goes to the Central Lion Rocket League Esports Team for starting off the season hot. The Roaring Lions brought home another victory against McIntosh County by defeating their opponents 3 games to 0! The team scored a combined total of 12 goals with 5 assists yesterday in their match. Way to go guys!!
