The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.

Reminder: Halloween costumes or masks are not permitted at Central High School. 


Today’s big shout out goes to Charlee Causey for being recognized by the Georgia Association of Conservation with a $1000 scholarship! Charlee is the first Central High School sophomore to ever receive this honor from the West Georgia Conservation District. Congratulations Charlee and Central FFA!


Attention Students: Auditions for Literary Solo and Monologue will take place in the chorus room on Thursday, November 7, after school. Come prepared with a 1-minute monologue or a 1-minute song excerpt. Sign-up for an audition time outside of the chorus room. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions. 

Friday is the last day to buy your yearbook for $80! Prices increase to $90, so get your yearbook today!

Attention Students: The Sadie Hawkins Dance is scheduled for Saturday, November 2. If you plan to bring a date who is not enrolled at Central High School, you must complete and submit a date form no later than November 1. Tickets for the dance are $15 each and will be on sale during lunch  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you have questions see one of your class officers or student council members, or Ms. Martin in room 727.

Art Club will be meeting after school tomorrow in the art room.

Be sure to vote for Christy Bowen and Heather Robertson by “Liking” the Southern Roots Group Facebook page and adding the teacher’s name to the comment line. Look for the “Vote for your Favorite Teacher” post! If selected, they will receive a $1000 grant! You can vote once per day through Halloween!! Vote today!


The University of West Georgia will host a dual enrollment information session November 14. Use the attached links to register.

Cross Country Lady Lions head to the state Friday and the Lion Football Team plays at Troup County High School.
