The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the Marching Pride for an award winning weekend in Warner Robins. The Pride competed in the Heart of Georgia Invitational with 22 HIgh Schools from Georgia and Florida. The Pride earned Superior Ratings in every possible category and 1st Place in  Open Class in Color Guard, Drumline, and Band, in addition, they earned the highest score of the day in Drumline Color Guard, Music, Marching, and Effect. At the conclusion of the event, the Marching Pride was named the Overall Grand Champion of the Competition with a final score of 97.43 out of a possible 100. This is their 2nd Grand Championship this year and their 14th consecutive Championship. Central High School’s Marching Band has been undefeated for the past five (5) years. Congratulations to the Marching Pride on these incredible accomplishments and a special congratulations to their 29 Senior Band Members.  Go Pride Go!

Our second shout out goes to Central High School Wrestler Aaron Sheffield who gained folk style wrestling ALL-AMERICAN status by finishing 2nd this weekend at the Preseason Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa. Aaron is the FIRST Central Lion Wrestler to ever achieve this status! Way to go Aaron!!

NEW NEWS

Attention Students: Auditions for Literary Solo and Monologue will take place in the chorus room on Thursday, November 7, after school. Come prepared with a 1-minute monologue or a 1-minute song excerpt. Sign-up for an audition time outside of the chorus room. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions. 

Today is the LAST day to turn in permission slip forms to Ms. Hanson for the Special Olympics Buddy Club trip scheduled for this Thursday. 

Attention students: Yearbook purchases increase November 1! This gives you four (4) days to buy a yearbook for $80. Don’t wait, order your yearbook today, before prices go up to $90! See Ms. Monica Smith with questions.

Attention Students: The Sadie Hawkins Dance is scheduled for Saturday, November 2. If you plan to bring a date who is not enrolled at Central High School, you must complete and submit a date form no later than November 1. Tickets for the dance are $15 each and will be on sale during lunch  Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you have questions see one of your class officers or student council members, or Ms. Martin in room 727.

Interact Club meets in Ms. Knowles room 719, Wednesday at 7:45 a.m.
