Announcements for Tuesday, October 15, 2019

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways. 

Iced coffee is now on sale in the Main Office. See Ms. Foley and get yours today!


Today’s big shout out goes to everyone who eats lunch in the cafeteria! We are celebrating National School Lunch week. Starting today,  lunch trays will be specially marked for students to win some goodies. Come purchase lunch and win!!


All 10th graders taking the PSAT will not attend 1st block CCA Wednesday, October 16 and should instead report to their testing location. Testing rosters and locations are posted around campus.

Key Club will have their regular monthly meeting Wednesday at 7:50 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. in Ms. Bowen's room 732. Members must attend one of the meetings and should bring $15 dues.

Come out to support our chorus students at the Chorus Fall Concert! The concert is tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. at the Carroll County Schools Performing Arts Center and admission is free

Basketball  tryouts begin on October 21. We are hoping to fill team rosters for 9th, JV, and Varsity. Students must have a current physical on file to participate in tryouts. Tryouts will start promptly at 4:00 p.m. and end by 6:00 p.m. See Coach Edwards with questions. 

ISDS students will meet Thursday in room 626. You can come to the 7:45 a.m. or 3:45 p.m. meeting.

The Central High School Gymnastics Team will have an informational meeting on tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center. Anyone interested in joining the team should plan to attend.

Central High School will be hosting a blood drive Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a free T-shirts given to all donors. Please sign-up with Ms. Startup as soon as possible.

After fall break, the Buddy Club will host a meeting on Thursday at 7:50 a.m. in the Media Center. Mark your calendar and plan to attend!


UWG is hosting a dual enrollment information session November 14. Use the attached link to register.

Senior Fees: $150 until December 18. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. 

Junior Prom Dues: $125 until December 19. See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

Senior Yearbook Ads: On sale through November 22. See Ms. Monica Smith for details.

Yearbook Sales: $80; see Ms. Monica Smith. Buy by October 31 and have your name entered into a raffle for free stuff!


Softball plays tonight in the 2nd round of state playoffs. The games begin at 5:00 p.m. in Lion Valley. 

Tonight, the fall chorus concert takes place at the Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.
