The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways. 

Seniors: Friday, October 4 is the final day to pay senior fees of $125; fees increase on Monday, October 7 to $150.

Juniors: Next Thursday, October 3 is the final day to pay  junior prom dues of $100. Junior dues increase Friday, October 4 to $150! You have one week to get pay the best price of the school year!


Today’s big shout out goes to Chase Phillips and Brad Griffin for being caught in a random act of kindness. Chase volunteered to play the trumpet during the funeral for Carroll County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Jeffrey Lowther. Brad accompanied Chase to support his friend during the emotional service. Thank you Chase and Brad for taking time to Show Some Love.

Our second big shout out goes to the Lions Cross Country Team for showing out at the Carroll County Championships yesterday. The varsity boys placed 2nd overall and were led by Jay Yoder finishing 4th, Logan Huff finishing 6th, and Clint Rainwater finishing 10th. The varsity girls also placed 2nd with top 10 finishes from Zoe Smith at 6th and Anna Ayers at 8th. The JV Boys took 2nd with Brenden Slater coming in 2nd overall, Walker Altman taking 3rd overall, and Blaise Bergiel 7th. The JV girls placed 1st over rival Carrollton with Anna Carnes placing 1st, Morgan Smith 2nd, and Heidi Anderson 3rd. Finally, big shout out to Reid Crow for smashing his all time 5k PR. Great job everyone.


Today is the final day to sign-up and pay for the PSAT in the guidance office. The test will be administered October 16.

The Buddy Club will host a meeting in the Media Center on Thursday, October 17 at 7:50 a.m. in the Media Center. Mark your calendar and plan to attend!

Attention FBLA members: There will be a meeting Monday, September 30 at 7:45 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. in room 607. Please make plans to attend one of the scheduled meetings.

Attention students: If you are interested in joining the newly formed Chess Club, please stop by and see Linda Morris in the Media Center for permission forms.

Students, if you are interested in playing Rocket League competitively for Central High School, come by and see Mr. Sauls in room 410 to sign-up for tryouts. Tryouts will be held next Tuesday, October 1, after school.


Are you feeling bummed because you missed the deadline to buy your yearbook for $70? Don't fret! You can still buy a book! Prices for books are $80 through October 31. If you purchase a book by October 30, you will be entered in a Halloween raffle to win a $50 gift card to Chick-fil-A! That's a lot of waffle fries! Order your yearbook today!

Dual enrollment information sessions will be held October 10 and November 14 at the University of West Georgia. Use the attached links to register.
