The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways. 

Attention Seniors: Grad Bash money is due no later than September 25. If we don’t have enough paid participants, we will be unable to attend. See Ms. Martin to pay your Grad Bash fees ASAP!

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Lady Lions Volleyball Team for another good night awesome night trouncing Troup County and Chapel Hill. The ladies are now 20-7 on the season. Great job ladies!


Tomorrow is Versus Day! Dress-up and show your school spirit!! Happy Homecoming Week!

Are you feeling bummed because you missed the deadline to buy your yearbook for $70? Don't fret! You can still buy a book! Prices for books are $80 through October 31. If you purchase a book by October 30, you will be entered in a Halloween raffle to win a $50 gift card to Chick-fil-A! That's a lot of waffle fries! Order your yearbook today!

FFA will be meeting Friday, September 26, as we host a road clean up followed by FFA Spirit Night at American Pie! FFA will receive a percentage of the proceeds from all American Pie items sold between 5:00-9:00 p.m. Thanks in advance for your support!

The first Art Club meeting will be held today after school in the art room.

One Act auditions will take place today after school in room 625. If you have questions, see Ms. Thornton for details. 

The first Interact Club meeting will be on Monday, September 23 at 7:50 a.m. in Mrs. Knowles room 719.  If you are a member or are interested in becoming a member please plan to attend.

Students: It's not too late to join FBLA! Stop by room 141 or room 607 and pay your membership dues. Dues must be paid no later than September 25! See Mrs. Hall if you have questions.


The University of West Georgia is very excited to announce the official dates for the Carrollton Campus for Dual Enrollment Information Sessions. Check the Guidance Office page of the school website and sign up today! Dates and times are:  

October 10, 2019 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM

November 14, 2019 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM 

Accelerating 11th grade students are encouraged to sign-up to take the PSAT October 16 to receive college scholarships and to help prepare for the SAT. The cost to take the PSAT is $17.00. Please bring cash or check to Mrs. Dixon in the Guidance Office when you sign-up. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, September 27. Please see Ms. Zerr in room 708 if you think you are eligible for a fee waiver. There are only 20 spots available on a first-come first-serve basis. 

All students should join the appropriate Google Classroom for your grade level to see important information from the Guidance Counselor.  The codes for each Google Classroom are:

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Abby Smith.

The Lady Lions Volleyball Team plays their last home game of the season this Thursday against Oak Mountain.

The Carroll County Band Exhibition will take place next Tuesday, September 24 in Lion Valley. Admission is $8.00. Passes will not be accepted for this event.
