The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, have students toss all food and drinks from outside vendors, spit out gum and remove all head gear. Put cell phones away as you enter class.

Students may NOT wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways. Phones will be taken up if students wear earbuds or headphones in the hallways. 

Students: IF you would like to purchase a football schedule t-shirt, Coach Smiley is selling them in the fieldhouse for $15.  Buy a shirt, wear it Friday night to the football game and show your support for the Central Lions Football Team.

Attention students! If you’re interested in joining Future Business Leaders of America, come to the informational meeting after school in room 607. Membership forms are located in room 607 and 141. 

Attention Seniors: Senior Expo is tomorrow! Be sure to wear your senior jersey or a maroon tee shirt! Students driving because of Work-Based Learning or dual enrolled classes must park behind the PAC and sign in and out. 

You will be voting for the second round of homecoming court today in your English class. If you do not have an English class at Central High School, you can vote with Mrs. Morris in the Media Center. The deadline to vote will be Friday at noon (12:00 p.m.). You may only vote once and you must use your Carroll County student login. 

Would you like to join a club that is fun, works hard, and changes lives???  Then the Best Buddy Club may be for you. Please join us for our kick-off meeting to learn more about this amazing club and to join. The meeting will be next Wednesday, August 28 at 7:50 a.m. in the Media Center. Hope to see you there!!!

FCA is back tomorrow! Come to the football bleachers near the concession stand at 7:45 a.m. to hear our worship band and  Ryan Edwards from Midway church speak. There will also be breakfast so come hungry! It’s going to be an awesome start to a wonderful year! 

Central High School is having it's first gaming club meeting on Wednesday, August 28 after school from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in room 410. If you are a fan of video games, mobile games, board games, or card games and you’re looking to join a positive school community, come check us out and have a blast! Make sure you have transportation home after this meeting.

The Central High School Shotgun Team will hold an informational meeting today from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. If you have any questions, contact Amy Musick via email at amy.musick@carrollcountyschools.com.

FFA membership and tee shirt forms are available in Ms. Williford's or Ms. Dysart's room. FFA will have a meeting after school today in room 507.

Fall Mums are on sale through the Ag Department until August 27. Mums will be available for pickup September 30. See Ms. Williford or Ms. Dysart for details.

Seniors, yearbook ads are on sale through November 22. The final date for senior pictures is Wednesday, September 25 in the old gym. Senior photos must be taken by Legacy Studios to have your picture in the yearbook.

DUES & DEADLINES

Senior Fees: $125 until October 4. See Linda Morris in the Media Center. 

Junior Prom Dues: $100 until October 3.

Senior Prom Dues: $70 until February 13 (Only if student did not attend as a junior). See Mrs. Perryman, Ms. Duncan or Ms. Smith.

AFTER SCHOOL

Central Cluster Schools is sponsoring a Spirit Night at O’Charley’s tonight from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The first 100 families will receive a free Senior Football Player and Cheerleader poster. Cluster schools will receive a percentage from meals served. Make dinner plans and support our Central Lions!

The Central Cluster Celebration will take place Monday in the cafeteria from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This event is open to the public!

Volleyball plays at home tonight at 5:00 p.m. Come out and support our Lady Lions!
