The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, toss all food from outside vendors, ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. You know the drill, let’s get it done.

Attention Class of 2019: You may wear school appropriate attire under your cap and gown for the class picture on the football field Wednesday, April 24 in cap and gown. You are not required to wear formal clothing for the picture. Seniors will be called from class for the 9:00 a.m. photo lineup. Remember, you are not excused from first period and will be counted absent if you miss class if you miss class.


Today’s big shout out goes to members of the Boys and Girls Track Team heading to Sectionals. After last nights meet Mary Beth Griffin took 3rd place in Pole Vault, Sau’Avery McClure took 4th place in the Long Jump, Destin Smith took 4th in Pole Vault, Sidney Stone took 2nd place in Pole Vault, Wesley Henderson took 2nd place in the Long Jump and Dylan Carroll came in 3rd in the 300 meter Hurdles. Congratulations Teams!


Attention Junior Marshals: Permission slips for participation in graduation need to be turned in as soon as possible to Linda Morris in the Media Center.

Auditions for the Marching Band Color Guard begin Monday. Be sure to register by Friday. QR Codes are located around the school or you can see Mr Ruby in the Band Room. Come join the excitement of the Marching Pride!


Attention Seniors: If you are interested in beginning a full-time career, plan to attend the Carroll County Schools Senior Career Employment Day on April 30 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Email Ms. Bass at in order to submit a resume and completing job applications.


Varsity baseball is in action at Heard County, gymnastics has a meet at Carrollton High School, and this weekend the Shotgun Team is in action in Floyd County.

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, stay positive, work hard, and make it happen!
