The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, toss all food from outside vendors, ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. You know the drill, let’s get it done.

The Class of 2019 will have a formal class picture taken on the football field next Wednesday, April 24 in cap and gown. Seniors will be called from class for the 9:00 a.m. photo lineup. You are not excused from first period and will be counted absent if you miss class.


Today’s super big shout out goes to Katie Lawrence for receiving and Honorable Mention in the 2019 Young Georgia Authors Writing Contest. Katie, stop by the Media Center to have your picture taken!

Our second shout out goes to the Men’s Soccer Team for running circles around Trinity Christian School 3 to 0 on senior night. Rodolpho Estrada had the clean sheet in goal with goals scored by Luis Delgado, Nick Potts and Bennett Little. Branson Amaya picked up the assists. Great job men!

Our final shout out goes to the Girls Soccer Team for beating Trinity Christian 1-0. Laynie Grace Benefield scored the goal and Elizabeth Poncela had the shutout. Thank you to our seniors, Summer Ligon, Madeline Potts, Hannah Puckett, Elizabeth Poncela, Perla Mora, and Yazmin Garcia for a great year.


Attention Junior Marshals: Permission slips for participation in graduation need to be turned in as soon as possible to Linda Morris in the Media Center.

Attention Pride Club members: There will be a meeting after school today! Contact Haley

If you are signed up to take an AP exam and you have not attended an AP preadministration session this week, you must attend a session today, Wednesday, April 17, during 2nd or 3rd period in the TLC.

Key Club will meet after school in room 732.

Students interested in playing Volleyball next year are invited to attend an informational meeting on today from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.


Students in the 9-11 grade, if you are interested in being a member of the largest extra curricular organization at Central High School, performing at all football games and competitions, taking trips all over the country, you should audition for the Central High School Band Color Guard. For more information, please scan the QR Code located on posters around campus or see Mr. Ruby in the band room. Auditions begin April 22 and the registration deadline is this Friday, April 19. Go Pride!!

Attention Seniors: If you are interested in beginning a full-time career, plan to attend the Carroll County Schools Senior Career Employment Day on April 30 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Email Ms. Bass at in order to submit a resume and completing job applications.


Free sports physicals are scheduled for tomorrow. Golf travels to Meadow Lakes in Cedartown and Varsity Baseball is home against Paulding.
