We only have a few more days of Poetry Madness. Yesterday's results were the closest they have been yet! "Fire and Ice" edged out "Still I Rise" by only 2 votes! In the World bracket, "Song of the Rain" washed out "Sonnet XVII" with 4 votes. Today's votes will declare the winners of the British and Wild Card bracket. The Final Four competition is Wednesday.

Soccer will be hosting a Pink Out on Tuesday, April 16 as a Team Riggins fundraiser. This is also senior night, so make plans to attend and support our Lion family!

There will be a meeting for Junior Marshals on Thursday at 7:45 a.m. in the Media Center. Information about graduation will be distributed and discussed. If you are unable to attend, please see Linda Morris.

Seniors, caps and gowns for graduation will be delivered April 15 in the cafeteria during lunch. If you have not yet paid senior fees of $150, it’s time to take care of this. See Linda Morris in the Media Center.

The senior class picture, in cap and gown, will be taken Wednesday, April 24 at 9:00 a.m. on the football field.

Attention students, Southern Therapy will be offering "FREE" physicals next Thursday April 18. If you plan to participate in athletics during the 2019-20 school year, you must have an updated physical. Please see Coach Smiley for physical paperwork starting Wednesday. Southern Therapy has a consent form that must be signed in order for their caregivers to perform physicals on our student athletes. This form "MUST" be signed by parents as well as the other forms. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get a physical for "FREE".

Anyone interested in coming out for spring football or playing football for the 2019 season, there will be a spring football parent meeting held on April 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Attendance at this meeting is strongly encouraged. Please see Coach Smiley if you have any questions.

Tennis begins region play at Cartersville, Golf is in LaGrange at The Fields, Soccer travels to Hiram, and the Basketball Banquet is at Old Camp Church tonight.

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, stay positive, work hard, and make it happen!
