The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams. Wins for the girls came from Elle Jones, Natalie Wilson, and Dalila Sanchez. Central girls are 4th seed in the Region Tournament and will play Chapel Hill in the 1st Round. Wins for the boys came from Caleb Williams, Blaise Bergiel, and Mason Harden. Central boys are 5th seed in the Region Tournament and will play Cedartown in the 1st Round. Good luck teams!!


Best Buddies will meet in the Media Center on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:50 a.m. Please mark your calendar and make plans to attend!

March Poetry Madness is heating up as we enter the final race to fill the elite-8 brackets. Yesterday, “Ah, Are You Digging On My Grave” won with 55%!

Students, you only have two (2) more days to purchase a yearbook! The last day to buy a yearbook is this Friday, March 29. You can order online or drop your payment off in room 626.

Talent show performers should plan to attend a sound check in the New Gym during 5th period on Friday. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions. Tickets for the talent show are on sale during lunch for $2. You must have a ticket to leave class and attend the show!

No after school tutoring TODAY.


Attention students, Southern Therapy will be offering "FREE" physicals on Thursday April 18. If you plan to participate in athletics during the 2019-20 school year, you must have an updated physical. Please see Coach Smiley for physical paperwork starting Wednesday. Southern Therapy has a consent form that must be signed in order for their caregivers to perform physicals on our student athletes. This form "MUST" be signed by parents as well as the other forms. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get a physical for "FREE".

Anyone interested in coming out for spring football or playing football for the 2019 season, there will be a spring football parent meeting held on April 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Attendance at this meeting is strongly encouraged. Please see Coach Smiley if you have any questions.

Pride Leadership meets in the TLC tomorrow morning, Track travels to LaGrange, Golf is celebrating senior night at Oak Mountain, Varsity Soccer travels to Fayette County, and Tennis travels to Callaway.
