The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.


Dylan Thomas wrote the poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night." True to its title, the poem battled and won yesterday with 53% of the votes.

Students, you only have three more days to purchase a yearbook! The last day to buy a yearbook is this Friday, March 29. You can order online or drop your payment off in room 626.

Talent show performers should plan to attend a sound check in the New Gym during 5th period on Friday. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions.

No after school tutoring on Thursday this week.

Beta Club will have a club meeting in the Media Center tomorrow morning at 7:45 a.m. Please plan to attend.

Newly elected Class Officers and Student Council members will meet in Ms. Cowart’s classroom 735 tomorrow morning at 7:45 a.m. Please be on time for the meeting.

Attention students, Southern Therapy will be offering "FREE" physicals on Thursday April 18. If you plan to participate in athletics during the 2019-20 school year, you must have an updated physical. Please see Coach Smiley for physical paperwork starting Wednesday. Southern Therapy has a consent form that must be signed in order for their caregivers to perform physicals on our student athletes. This form "MUST" be signed by parents as well as the other forms. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get a physical for "FREE".

Anyone interested in coming out for spring football or playing football for the 2019 season, there will be a spring football parent meeting held on April 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Attendance at this meeting is strongly encouraged. Please see Coach Smiley if you have any questions.

Tickets for the talent show will be sold for $2 during lunches this week. You must have your ticket to get into the talent show on Friday, March 29, during 6th and 7th periods. Come out to support your fellow Lions performing in the show!

The Central FFA will host their semester road cleanup TODAY from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. Any interested should meet at the front atrium after 7th period. Wear good walking shoes and Help is Keep Carroll Beautiful!

Attention Teachers: For $10 you can wear blue jeans Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29, with all proceeds supporting Special Olympics. You may pay your $10 to Ms. Duffey or Ms. DeFriese today!


Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith. Last day to order is March 29!


Track travels to LaGrange, Golf is at Oak Mountain, Varsity Soccer is at Fayette County, and tennis is home against Haralson County.
