The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to Prom Queen SauAvery McClure and Prom King Dallas Clayton.

Per Mr. Edwards: A super big shout out to Sam Conerly in his second place finish in the Prom dance-off!

Friday's poetry faceoff was much closer than the previous matches! With 55% of the votes, "Song of the Rain Vii" emerged victorious! Today's poetry battles takes us to the British part of the bracket.

Students who missed the opportunity to vote during lunch for Class Officer and Student Council, please come by the Media Center today to vote.

Tickets for the talent show will be sold for $2 during lunches every day this week. You must have your ticket to get into the talent show on Friday, March 29, during 6th and 7th periods. Come out to support your fellow lions who are performing in the show!

The Central FFA will host their semester road cleanup on Wednesday from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. Any interested should meet at the front atrium after 7th period. Wear good walking shoes and Help is Keep Carroll Beautiful!

Attention Juniors in Spanish 2 and Spanish 3: If you are interested in earning an International Skills Diploma Seal, come to our first ISDS meeting tomorrow in room 626. You can come to the 7:45 or 3:45 session, whichever is best for you.

Attention Class of 2020: Senior portraits will be taken this summer on June 10 and 11 in the front lobby of the school. You will receive scheduling information after Spring Break. What we need from you is an email address so that you can receive reminders about senior portraits. There are QR codes outside English teachers' doors on the 600 and 700 halls. There is also a link on the Central Yearbook Facebook page. Please submit your name and email address this week. Thank you!

Attention Teachers: For $10 you can wear blue jeans Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29, with all proceeds supporting Special Olympics. You may pay your $10 to Ms. Duffey or Ms. DeFriese today!

DUES & FEES

Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith. Last day to order is March 29!

AFTER SCHOOL

Golf travels to the AAC Invitations, varsity tennis is home against Cedartown and varsity baseball is at Cartersville.

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, stay positive, work hard, and make it happen!
