Announcements for Thursday, March 7, 2019

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

SHOUT OUT

Our first shout out goes to the Varsity Baseball Team for smashing Marietta last night 15-7. The offense was led by Reid Lovvorn and Noah Taylor. Casey Casseen pitched for the win with 7 strikeouts. It was a great team win. The JV Baseball Team defeated Heard County 17-0. The Lions were led by Jacob Muse performance on the mound and the offense was led by Glenn Chambers.

Our second shout out goes to the Boys and Girls JV Tennis Teams who splits against Bowdon. Wins for the ladies came from Emily Jones, Mikiah Johnson, William Butler, Stephen Moye, Clint Rainwater, and Jacob Schmittou.

NEW NEWS

The next Interact Club meeting will be on Monday, March 11 at 7:45 a.m. in room 210. Members should plan to attend!

Talent show auditions will be on March 11 and 12 after school in the chorus room. You must audition if you want to be in the show! The talent show will be on March 29 during 6th and 7th periods. Tickets will be sold for $2 in advance. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions.

Students can pick up prom invitations during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods today and tomorrow outside room 633. Prom date forms are due by March 14 and don’t forget, senior walk is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Attention Class of 2020: Tomorrow is the last day to place an order for senior jersey! The senior jersey color has been changed to a deep maroon with white lettering. If you would like to order and have your jersey in time for senior pictures, go to http://www.scholasticimages.com. If you need more information, stop by the Media Center and see Ms. Morris.

The Blood Drive has been rescheduled for March 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. To give blood, please see Ms. Startup in the nurse's office.

Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $180, Cash Only. see Ms. Trumble or Wooten. Date forms due March 14!

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith.

AFTER SCHOOL

Golf plays at home tonight at Oak Mountain and we have a track meet beginning at 4:30 p.m. Pride Leadership meets in the morning and Varsity Soccer is at home tomorrow. Come out and support our Lions!!
