The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.


Today’s first big shout out goes to Men’s Soccer for picking up their 2nd Region win with a score of 4 to 1 over Troup County. Goals were scored by Mauricio, Daniel Rivera, and Branson Amaya had 2 goals. Luis Delgado with 2 assists.

Our second shout out goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams for crushing Sandy Creek yesterday. Wins for the girls came from Elle Jones, Anna Carnes, Lauren Buchanan, Anna Cheatwood, Kira Babbs, Courtney Vance and Natalie Wilson. Wins for the boys came from Drew Smith, Luke Reid, Caleb Williams, Blaise Bergiel, Garner Duffey, Dalton Lewis and Lance Crawford. The boys are 3-2 on the season and the girls are 5-0 on the season. Great job Lions!!

Our final shout out of the day goes to Girls Soccer for beating Troup last night 6-1. Congratulations on a great team effort!


Talent show auditions will be on March 11 and 12 after school in the chorus room. You must audition if you want to be in the show! The talent show will be on March 29 during 6th and 7th periods. Tickets will be sold for $2 in advance. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions.

Students can pick up prom invitations during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods only Wednesday, Thursday and Friday outside room 633. Prom date forms are due by March 14 and don’t forget, senior walk is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Attention Class of 2020: The senior jersey color has been changed to a deep maroon with white lettering. If you would like to order and have your jersey in time for senior pictures, go to If you need more information, stop by the Media Center and see Ms. Morris.


Students interested in Career Connections Work Based Learning, can fill out an application at or see Mrs. Bass in room 511.

The Blood Drive has been rescheduled for March 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. To give blood, please see Ms. Startup in the nurse's office.


Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $180, Cash Only. see Ms. Trumble or Wooten. Date forms due March 14!

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith.


JV Tennis plays at Bowdon today and baseball is home at 5:45 p.m. Come out and support our Central Lions!
