The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s super big shout out goes to the 2019 SYSTEM WIDE Young Georgia Authors winners --

9th grade - Katherine Lawrence

10th grade - Isabella Herring

12th grade Honorable Mention - Heyward Stober

Our second shout out goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams for beating Mt Zion. Wins for the girls came from Elle Jones, Anna Carnes, Lauren Buchanan, Anna Cheatwood, Kira Babbs, Courtney Vance, & Dalila Sanchez. Wins for the boys came from Drew Smith, Luke Reid, Caleb Williams, Blaise Bergiel, Garner Duffey, Sachal Denney, and Mason Harden. The boys are 2-2 on the season and the girls are 4-0 on the season. Great job teams!

Anna Hall needs to see Ms. Wooten ASAP.

Talent show auditions will be on March 11 and 12 after school in the chorus room. You must audition if you want to be in the show! The talent show will be on March 29 during 6th and 7th periods. Tickets will be sold for $2 in advance. See Ms. Phillips if you have any questions.

Students can pick up prom invitations during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods only Wednesday, Thursday and Friday outside room 633.

Attention Class of 2020: The senior jersey color has been changed to a deep maroon with white lettering. If you would like to order and have your jersey in time for senior pictures, go to http://www.scholasticimages.com. If you need more information, stop by the Media Center and see Ms. Morris.

The Blood Drive has been rescheduled for March 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. To give blood, please see Ms. Startup in the nurse's office.

AFTER SCHOOL

Tennis is in action at Sandy Creek today, soccer is home tonight at 7:30 p.m. and baseball in action tomorrow.  Come out and support our Central Lions!

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, stay positive, work hard, and make it happen!
