Announcements for Friday, March 1, 2019

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

Teachers, please check your email from Ms. Akin regarding student surveys and send your students during announcements. Thank you.


Attention: Jodee Garner and Lauren Oehler need to stop by and see Ms. Wooten TODAY about prom forms.

Attention Students Going to Prom: Fees increase on Monday, March 4 and all payments are cash only! Juniors increase to $180, seniors increase to $100, and outside date fees increase to $100. See Ms.Trumble, Ms. Wooten, or Ms. Perryman to pay fees NOW!

Students interested in Career Connections Work Based Learning, can fill out an application at or see Mrs. Bass in room 511.

Balfour will be here during lunch to take cash or check orders for Class of 2020 senior jerseys. If you need to try on a jersey for sizing, stop by the cafeteria and see the Balfour representative! If you have questions, stop in the Media Center and see Linda Morris.

Central High School is collecting items for the food drive. Please donate to this worthy cause supporting the Open Hands Food Pantry.


The Blood Drive has been rescheduled for March 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. To give blood, please see Ms. Startup in the nurse's office.


Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $150, see Ms. Trumble or Wooten. Fees increase Monday, March 4!

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith.


Varsity Soccer travels to Chapel Hill and JV Football travels to Fayette County. Good luck Lions!
