The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

Today’s first big shout out goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams! The teams split with Mt Zion. Wins came from Mason Harden, Derek Bolden, Caleb Wiggins, William Butler, Stephen Moye, Clint Rainwater, and Jacob Schmittou! Great job!

Our second shout out goes to the following students who placed in Literary Competition. Congratulations to Nolan Crane, Mikiah Johnson, Jarrett Arnell, and Will Smith for taking 4th in Quartet. MaryAnna Taylor, Alli Walls and Bles Denney placed 3rd in Trio. Mikiah Johnson placed 4th in Boys Solo and Ashley Rauschenbach placed 3rd in Girls Solo. Sanya Rivera placed 4th in Personal Essay, Asher Pate placed 3rd in International Extemporaneous Speaking, Sandy Wilson and Carter Lewis placed 2nd in Duo Interpretation, and Naomi Norbraten placed 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation. First place finishers were Kayla Batchelor in Humorous Interpretation and Brant Entrekin in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking. Congratulations to all competitors bringing an overall 2nd place finish to Central High School in the Region Competition.


Attention Students Going to Prom: Fees increase on Monday, March 4 and all payments are cash only! Juniors increase to $180, seniors increase to $100, and outside date fees increase to $100. See Ms.Trumble, Ms. Wooten, or Ms. Perryman to pay fees NOW!

Students interested in Career Connections Work Based Learning, can fill out an application at or see Mrs. Bass in room 511.

Applications for Class Officer and Student Council elections are due TODAY! See Ms. Cowart in room 735 or Ms. Williams in room 727 if you have questions.

Balfour will be here Friday to take cash or check orders for Class of 2020 senior jerseys. If you need to try on a jersey for sizing, stop by the cafeteria and see the Balfour representative! If you have questions, stop in the Media Center and see Linda Morris.

Central High School is collecting items for the food drive. Please donate to this worthy cause supporting the Open Hands Food Pantry.


The Blood Drive has been rescheduled for March 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. To give blood, please see Ms. Startup in the nurse's office.


Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $150, see Ms. Trumble or Wooten. Fees increase Monday, March 4!

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith.


Tennis plays at home against Newnan and JV Baseball travels to Bowdon.
