The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the students participating in Literary Competition today! Good luck!

Our second big shout out goes to Ms. Sarah Hall and Ms. Corinne Hindman for coordinating Interview Day!

Our third shout out goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams. Teams split with Chapel Hill. Wins for the girls came from Elle Jones, Anna Carnes, and Lauren Buchanan, and for the boys, Dalton Lewis, Sachal Denney, Blaise Bergiel, and Garner Duffey.

Attention Students Going to Prom: Fees increase on Monday, March 4 and all payments are cash only! Juniors increase to $180, seniors increase to $100, and outside date fees increase to $100. See Ms.Trumble, Ms. Wooten, or Ms. Perryman to pay fees NOW!

Students interested in Career Connections Work Based Learning, can fill out an application at cc.carrollcountyschools.com or see Mrs. Bass in room 511.

Applications for Class Officer and Student Council elections are due TOMORROW! See Ms. Cowart in room 735 or Ms. Williams in room 727 if you have questions.

Attention FFA members, we have a lunch meeting today during your lunch period!

Balfour will be here Friday to take cash or check orders for Class of 2020 senior jerseys. If you need to try on a jersey for sizing, stop by the cafeteria and see the Balfour representative! If you have questions, stop in the Media Center and see Linda Morris.

Central High School is collecting items for the food drive. Please donate to this worthy cause supporting the Open Hands Food Pantry.

Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $150, see Ms. Trumble or Wooten. Fees increase Monday, March 4!

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith.

AFTER SCHOOL

Region Literary competition is at the Performing Arts Center today, varsity baseball plays at home at 5:45 p.m. and JV soccer is home at 5:00 p.m. Come out and support our Central Lions!

It’s a great day to be a Central Lion and let’s remember, stay positive, work hard, and make it happen!
