The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

Student Drivers this is the final warning if you have a Student Parking Pass you must park in your assigned parking spot. All vehicles not parked in the correct spot will be towed from here on out. Your permit number is the same as the parking space number you should be parked in. No one should be parking in spaces 316-350.


Today’s big shout out goes to Sam Conerly for being recognized as the Central High School STAR Student! Sam earned the highest score on the SAT to be awarded STAR Student honors. Congratulations Sam!


Attn: Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors if you are interested in running for 2019-2020 Class Officer and Student Council, applications can be picked up in front of Ms. Williams Class, Mrs. Cowart's Class, or the Media Center starting today thru February 22. Applications are due no later than Thursday, February  28. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Williams or Mrs. Cowart for more information.

The Interact Club will have a meeting at 7:45 a.m. on Monday, February 25 in Mrs. Knowles's room 210. All members, please plan to attend.

Today’s FFA Trivia question for a chance to win a tee shirt is: How many years elapsed between the first African American National Officer to the first African American National President?

If you are interested in trying out for Central cheerleading, there will be a mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, February 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Information and forms will be distributed!


Attention Class of 2020! Your sample senior jersey is here! Come by the Media Center to see the official jersey for your senior class. Orders can be placed online through March 8 through, or with the Balfour representative Friday, March 1, during all lunches. You will receive a special order form through English classes tomorrow.

Central High School is hosting a food drive in support of the Open Hands Food Pantry. Please be generous and bring your non-perishable items to the front office. Needed items include:


--canned meats

--canned fruits

--cereal and oatmeal

--canned pastas (spaghettios, ravioli, etc.)

The football banquet will be held at Old Camp United Methodist Church on Monday, February 25 at 6:00 p.m.  Please see Coach Smiley if you have any questions.

The Blood Drive has been rescheduled for March 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. To give blood, please see Ms. Startup in the nurse's office.


Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $150, see Ms. Trumble or Wooten.

Yearbook: $90. See Ms. Monica Smith.


Varsity Tennis travels to Darlington, JV Tennis travels to Mz. Zion, Soccer is in Douglas County, and JV Baseball is home against Villa Rica.
