SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to our first student caught in a random act of kindness, Christin Grdinich. Ms. Katie Fowler nominated Christin saying, “Christin Grdinich is in the Best Buddies Club and she goes out of her way to be kind and show kindness to her buddy, Jason Holloway. She emailed me this morning, and asked to come during her lunch period and visit with Jason and bring him some Valentine's gifts. She was very respectful and treated Jason so amazingly well during her time with him. She was engaged in conversation with him, and listened to him. Christin goes above and beyond to make Jason feel important. As his teacher, it makes my heart so happy.” Congratulations Christin, please stop by the Media Center today to pick up your tee shirt and have your picture taken.

Our second big shout out goes to girls soccer for beating Villa Rica 2-0 on Thursday and beating Upson Lee 3-1 on Saturday to finish 3rd in the Trojan Cup.

Our third shout out goes to Ainsley Cowart for finishing second with a round of 73 in the Presidents’ Day shootout.

Our fourth shout out goes to Varsity Baseball for defeating Bowdon 10-2 on Friday. Hayden Hall had 5 strikeouts to earn the win. Carson Carroll led the offense with a 3-run homerun. The Lions are back in action tomorrow.

And our final shout out goes to our fabulous Central Lion Wrestlers for finishing the season with a phenomenal performance at the State Traditional Tournament. Central, once again, made school history with five (5) state placers and a 5th place overall finish as a team. A special congratulations goes to all of our wrestlers that qualified and wrestled in the tournament, but especially to Aaron Sheffield who finished 5th, J.C. Higgins who finished 4th, Shane Bruce and C.J. Shadinger on their 3rd place finishes, and Sam Conerly for finishing as a State Runner-Up! Way to end the season and great job guys!
