The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones. Blankets are not to be used in school. Please leave blankets at home.

Our second big shout out goes to the following students selected to participate in the 2019 GMEA All-State Band! Congratulations to Olivia Hall, Hannah Royals, Kenji Trumble, and Kale Ward.

NEW NEWS

All Miss Leonine Pageant participants need to meet Thursday after school in the chorus room.

Come support our students at the Miss Leonine Pageant on Saturday, January 12! The pageant starts at 11:00 a.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are only $5 at the door.

Track Practice will start today after school.

Students may sign-up for the ASVAB in the Guidance Office; the deadline is January 9. The ASVAB will be held at Central High School on January 17 at 8:30 a.m. The ASVAB is an aptitude test and is free of charge.

Girls Soccer tryouts will be Monday, January 14 at 3:45 p.m. Anyone interested in trying out please see Coach Hart in room 404.

There will be a meeting for Senior Beta Club members only this Thursday at 7:45 a.m. in Mrs. Beverly’s room.

The Parent University meeting scheduled for January 15 has been moved to January 14 due to scheduling conflicts. Ninth grade parent should plan to attend the meeting which will focus on course registration for the 2019-2020 school year.

Boys interested in playing soccer need to sign-up with Coach Townson in room 726. Tryouts begin January 14 and physicals must be current at that time.

Students, did your parents attend Central High School? If so, go to the yearbook page on the school website and let us know their name and when they graduated. We’d love to feature you in the yearbook!

Today is the last day to sign up to play tennis this year. Stop by Ms. Startup’s office to sign-up.

DUES & FEES

Senior Fees are $150, cash only. See Ms. Morris in the Media Center.

Junior Prom Dues: $150, see Ms. Trumble or Wooten.

Yearbook: $90; January 18 final day for name stamps. See Ms. Monica Smith.

AFTER SCHOOL

Basketball is in action tonight in Lion Valley! Be there or be square!
