Central High School

Announcements for Wednesday, October 3, 2018

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones.

Attention Students and Teachers: Saturday the band will be hosting the Super Bowl of Sound. All cars must be off campus Friday night following the football game. Any cars left on campus after midnight will be towed. This is not a drill, this is the real deal, cars will be towed. Thank you for your help!

SHOUT OUT

Today’s super big shout out goes to Mr. Jared Griffis, our fabulous Principal!! In celebration of House Resolution 930, and the U.S. Congressional declaration which established October as National Principals Month, we will be honoring Mr. Griffis. Please stop by the front office and drop off a “thank you” note, or simply shake his hand in the hallway. Let’s give Mr. Griffis a roaring great month to let him know how much we appreciate his hard work!

Our second big shout out goes to the Academic Players of the Week and Teachers of the Week. For the LaGrange game: students Isaiah Terry and Jackson Burns, and teacher Ms. Liz Beverly; for the Cartersville game: students Caleb Griffis and Jalen Thomas, and teacher Holly Fountain; for the Cedartown game: students Braxton Edge and Lance Paschal, and teachers Patricia Rountree and Susan Bedford. Players and teachers should stop by the Media Center for a picture and tee shirt!
