The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones.

Bio information for Sweethearts and Homecoming Court members must be turned in by Wednesday to Ms. Alli Eidson in room 632.

Cars parked behind the visitors bleachers without a Central High School parking permit will be towed beginning tomorrow. See Ms. Duffey to purchase a parking permit.


National Hispanic Heritage Month is currently being observed across the country. American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America can be explored by visiting our Media Center. Students in Dr. Ingram’s classes have created bio-information pages on well-known Hispanic-American people that will be on display until October 15.

Representatives from UWG will be on campus Tuesday, October 2 to meet with you about your Spring semester courses. Please stop by the guidance office to pick up your appointment time.

Students interested in joining the Central High School Swimming Club should plan to attend a meeting in the Media Center next Thursday at 7:45 a.m. If you have questions, email Coach Bush at

If you are interested in joining the Central High School Gymnastics Team, bring your parents to a meeting Monday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center. See Coach Amy Sneddon with questions.


Attention Students: If you would like to earn points toward club honors, please sign-up to volunteer with our Marching Pride Band for the 36th Annual Super Bowl of Sound. The band needs volunteers throughout the day on Saturday, October 6. The busiest time is between 7:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Please see Mr. Ruby in the band room for more details.

If you like playing knockerball or soccer darts, Tug-o-War, or Powder Puff football, sign-up to participate during Homecoming week in the Media Center. These activities will take place Monday, October 8 during the Community Pep Rally. 

Central High School is sponsoring a Blood Drive October 2 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. See Ms. Startup for details.

Announcing SAT Prep Classes! Monday at 3:30 p.m. Math in room 405 and Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Verbal in room 633.

Students, are you interested in a career using Agriculture equipment and machinery? Ms. Williford with Central FFA will be visiting the South Georgia Technical College on September 28. Stop by her classroom to learn about the certification and pick up a permission form.

Attention 11th grade students: September 27 is the deadline for PSAT registration. See Ms. Dixon in the Guidance Office to register and pay your $16.00 fee. Fee waivers are also available in the Guidance Office.


Senior Fees: $125 until December 15; see Ms. Duffey in the main office.

Junior Prom Dues: $100 until December 18. See Mr. Trumble, Wooten, or Perryman.

Yearbook: $80 until October 31.  See Ms. Monica Smith.


The deadline to submit Sweetheart and Homecoming Court dresses for approval (front and back photos) is Wednesday, October 3. Submissions should be emailed to Ms. Eidson at

Thursday, October 4, during 3rd period, there is a mandatory Sweetheart practice from 10:15-11:12 a.m. on the home side of the football stadium.

Thursday, October 11 at 3:30 p.m. there is a mandatory Homecoming Court practice on the home side of football stadium.


The Carroll County Band Exhibition will take place in Lion Valley tomorrow. The gate opens at 5:00 p.m. with the exhibition beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $6.00 for this fabulous event. Come out and support our Carroll County Band Programs!

Softball plays at Georgia Gwinnett College tonight against Monticello and the team is home Wednesday against Sandy Creek.
