The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s big shout out goes to the Central JV Softball Team for smashing Callaway 6-1 and 25-2! Great job ladies!

Our second shout out goes to our Central Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams for clobbering Woodland last night. JV  won 2-1 and Varsity won 2-0. Outstanding team effort ladies!

NEW NEWS

Announcing SAT Prep Classes! Monday at 3:30 p.m. Math in room 405 and Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Verbal in room 633.

If you are interested in joining the Bass Fishing Club, plan to attend an interest meeting on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the Media Center.

Students who purchased a Homecoming tee shirt are able to sign-up to participate in activities beginning today in the Media Center between classes. Remember, you must sign-up to join in the fun!

Attention FFA members: There is a meeting in the 3-story atrium this Wednesday after school.

Key Club will be meeting this Wednesday at 7:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in room 732. Please plan to be present at one of the meeting times.

Attention Students: Are you interested in The Best Buddy Program??? This is a brand new club at Central High School. We will be having an informational meeting Thursday at 8:00 a.m. in the Media Center. Come to the meeting and learn about this amazing program and all of the fun it has to offer!!!

TODAY is school picture day! Remember to bring your order form and money if you want to order pictures. As an alternative to bringing payment to school, you can also pay online! Enter the school code that is on the order form.

Seniors, TODAY is the LAST day for you to take your senior portrait and have it in the yearbook! Schedule your appointment immediately. Go to seniors.legacystudios.com. There is also a link on the school web page.

Senior Class Officers and Student Council members have a meeting Wednesday at 7:45 a.m. with Balfour in the Media Center. Please be on time!

Central High School is sponsoring a Blood Drive October 2 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. See Ms. Startup for details.

Students, are you interested in a career using Agriculture equipment and machinery? Ms. Williford with Central FFA will be visiting the South Georgia Technical College on September 28. Stop by her classroom to learn about the certification and pick up a permission form.

Central FFA will be hosting a Spirit Night at American Pie this Thursday. Dine-in or take-out proceeds will go to help student programs and the Ag in the Classroom outreach class!

Attention 11th grade students: September 27 is the deadline for PSAT registration. See Ms. Dixon in the Guidance Office to register and pay your $16.00 fee. Fee waivers are also available in the Guidance Office.

DUES & FEES

Senior Fees: $125 until December 15; see Ms. Duffey in the main office.

Junior Prom Dues: $100 until December 18. See Mr. Trumble, Wooten, or Perryman.

Yearbook: $80.  See Ms. Monica Smith.

AFTER SCHOOL

Volleyball plays at Chapel Hill tonight in a Region match. Tomorrow both volleyball teams are in action at home against LaGrange and softball plays at Heard County tomorrow. Come out and support our Central Lions!
