The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code and have students get rid of all food from outside vendors. Ask students to spit out gum and remove all head gear. Students must use earbuds, not headphones.  


Today’s big shout out goes to the Central High School August Students of the Month. Teachers, please send these students to the Media Center for a picture with Mr. Griffis.

The second shout out the Central Lady Lions Softball Team for beating Troup county last night 11-1. Haley Fehring led the offense hitting another home run. Faith Bennett and Ava Tyson both had 2 hits a piece. Maggie Harris got the win pitching 6 innings and gave up only one run. Great job ladies. The JV Team obliterated Troup 15-0! Woo hoo!


Anyone interested in playing soccer this school year needs to meet in the Media Center Friday morning at 7:50 a.m. with Coach Townson.

The following students need to see Ms. Kim Cowart in room 735 between 2nd and 3rd period today.

Students, are you interested in playing video games competitively? If so, sign up for Central's Esports Team. Signup forms are available in the cafeteria or see Mr. Sauls in room 410 to sign up. Tryouts will be announced at a later date.

The first Spanish Honor Society meeting will be this Friday, August 31, at 7:30 a.m. in Sra. Smith's room. Please make plans to attend.

Girls interested in playing soccer need to attend a meeting this today in Coach Hart's Room 404, immediately after school.

FFA is pre-selling mums. See Ms. Williford or Ms. Dysart for details.

If you missed the morning Beta Club meeting, come to Ms. Beverly’s room 140 after school today.


Students that are interested in swimming, past, present and future need to stop by Mrs. Trumble’s room 633 to sign up. There are required deadlines that must be met. Email Coach Bush with questions.

Central High School will be administering the SAT on campus October 10 to 11th and 12th grade students only. Students must register for this opportunity by August 27. Please visit the Guidance page on the school website to register or see Ms. Zerr in 708.

Football is still selling Lion Valley tee shirts. See Ms. Duffey in the front office; shirts are $15 each.

Attention Seniors: Take care of $125 fees for cap and gown orders!


Tomorrow, JV football is at home against LaGrange and Volleyball is home against Douglas County. Stay after school and support our Central Lion teams!!
