The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, toss vendor food, have students spit out gum, remove hoods, only use earbuds and take up blankets.


A super big shout out to the Central High School Women’s Soccer Team for clobbering Hiram 4-1.  Janae Jackson scored 2 goals, Summer Ligon and Jacie Benefield eached scored 1 goal. Sam Pelaez had 2 assists and Emily Ruiz and Madeline Potts each had 1 assist. Great job ladies!!

Our second big shout out goes to the Central High School Girls Tennis Team for defeating Cedartown 5-0 and clinching the 3rd Seed for Region 5AAAA. Wins came from Emily Justice, Elle Jones, Karlee Eidson, Anna Carnes, Katie Schmittou, Madison Spruell, and Lauren Buchanan. The Boys Tennis Team had a close 3-2 loss in the tournament. Individual wins came from Ethan Caldwell, Lance Crawford, Dalton Lewis, and Garner Duffey.


If you are apart of the Central High School cheerleading program for the 2018-2019 cheer season, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on April 17 at 5:45 p.m. in the old gym. You and a parent need to be in attendance, it is required.

Anyone interested trying out for next year’s softball team, please stop by to see Coach McKenna Friday, April 20.

Attention students, Southern Therapy will be offering "FREE" physicals on Thursday, April 26. If you plan to participate in athletics during the 2018-19 school year you must have an updated physical. Please see Coach Smiley or Ms. Duffey for physical paperwork. Southern Therapy has a consent form that must be signed in order for their caregivers to perform physicals for our student athletes. The Southern Therapy form as well as all the other forms, must be signed. Please take advantage of this opportunity to get a “FREE” physical!!! See Coach Smiley with any questions.

Coach Smiley and the football team are looking for team managers.  If you are interested in helping the football team for this upcoming year please see Coach Smiley.


There will be an FFA Officer Interest Meeting on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:45 a.m. If you are interested in a leadership position with the FFA, stop by! There are college program and job placement options in farm and/or diesel machinery available through local dealerships. Please see Ms. Williford for more information.

FFA Plant Sale dates have been moved to April 16-20. Early sale 10% off days are April 16 and 17. Check out the flyer posted on Facebook and support our FFA greenhouse!

Seniors are eligible for a wide variety of scholarships for many different fields, from the Carroll EMC Lineman School scholarships to scholarships for people with red hair.  Your counselor needs to know what your future plans are so that we can help get you the information you to prepare for your future. Please complete the short survey on the Senior Google Classroom run by the Guidance Office.  If you have not previously accessed this Google Classroom, the code is olbpbuz.

Students interested in Career Connections (formerly called Work-Based Learning) should fill out an application at Program details and requirements can be found on the web link. The Career Connections handout is available in the guidance office. Forms are due no later than April 15.


Soccer is home against Locust Grove and varsity baseball is home against LaGrange. Stay after school and support our Central Lions.
