The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones. Blankets should be left at home and not brought to school.

Our third shout out goes to the men’s #2 soccer team for winning three (3) big matches over the past two days. Great play by everyone! This brings our wins to 7 for the year! Our varsity #1 team finished with a draw with Adairsville.


FFA Plant Sale dates have been moved to April 16-20. Early sale 10% off days are April 16 and 17. Check out the flyer posted on Facebook and support our FFA greenhouse!

Students who auditioned for the talent show should check the final list of performers posted at the chorus room or Coach Smith's room 143. Make sure you buy your ticket to the talent show during lunch this week. Tickets are only one dollar!

Attention ISDS Class of 2019 candidates: our first ISDS meeting is this Wednesday, March 28, from 3:45-4:15 in room 626. If you cannot attend the afternoon meeting, please join us Thursday morning, March 29, from 7:45-8:15. You will receive information about selecting your country for your capstone project.


Attention students: if you have not yet purchased a yearbook, we have a limited number available for purchase. You can purchase a yearbook from Mrs. Monica Smith in room 626 between classes, or you can drop off your payment in the main office.  You can also order online. Go to to place your order. Our school code is 2305. The online site will close on March 30. If you are not sure whether you have purchased a book, please contact Monica Smith. You will receive yearbooks later in May.

Seniors are eligible for a wide variety of scholarships for many different fields, from the Carroll EMC Lineman School scholarships to scholarships for people with red hair.  Your counselor needs to know what your future plans are so that we can help get you the information you to prepare for your future. Please complete the short survey on the Senior Google Classroom run by the Guidance Office.  If you have not previously accessed this Google Classroom, the code is olbpbuz.

Any senior planning to attend West Georgia Technical College after graduation can register to take the ACCUPLACER admissions test for free on March 29.  You must register in the Guidance Office by noon on March 23.

Students interested in Career Connections (formerly called Work-Based Learning) should fill out an application at Program details and requirements can be found on the web link. The Career Connections handout is available in the guidance office. Forms are due no later than April 15.


JV baseball plays at home against Fayette County.
