The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones.

The Pride Leadership group will meet tomorrow morning in the TLC room at 7:30 a.m. Please see Coach Smiley if you can not attend or have any questions.


Today’s big shout out goes to the students who participated in Literary Competition yesterday. Central High School brought home the top prize and are region champions! Chorus and Drama students placed 1st Overall in our Region Literary competition. Tristan Jones placed second in the boys' solo category. Will Godbee, Joshawa Arnell, Elijah Green, and Nolan Crane placed first in the boys' quartet category and will be representing Central High School at the State Literary competition.


Oodles of Noodles, the Bosses of Sauces, and Nothing Beats the Meats! Friday, March 2, join the lunchroom staff to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and our first pasta bar!!


Students interested in Career Connections (formerly called Work-Based Learning) should fill out an application at Program details and requirements can be found on the web link. The Career Connections handout is available in the guidance office. Forms are due no later than April 15.

The Miss Leonine Pageant has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 17 at the Performing Arts Center. Coaches and club sponsors are encouraged to sponsor a young lady for this Central High School tradition. Applications are available in room 401; please see Ms. Phillips with questions.

Students, if you are going to prom, you must fill out a prom form. If your date does not attend Central High School, you must get a date form for your date and your must provide a copy of their driver's license.  Please see Mrs. Trumble, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. DeFriese for prom forms.  All forms must be returned by March 16.

Weather permitting, tennis will play at home against Sandy Creek, JV baseball will be home against Fayette County and varsity baseball will travel to Villa Rica. Lion Valley is busy tonight; come out and support our Central Lions!
