The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones.

The Pride Leadership group will meet this Friday morning in the TLC room at 7:30 a.m. Please see Coach Smiley if you can not attend or have any questions.


Today’s big shout out goes to the Central High School Tennis Teams. The teams split with Darlington. The girls defeated Darlington 4-1. The wins came from Emily Justice, Elle Jones, Anna Carnes, Katie Schmittou, Madison Spruell, Lauren Buchanan, and Daila Sanchez. The boys wins came from Ethan Caldwell, Dalton, Garner Duffey, Mason Harden, and Blaise Bergiel. Great job teams!!

The second shout out goes to Men’s JV Soccer for defeating Paulding County 4-2, with goals scored by Luis Delgado, Austin Henderson, and Branden Slater. The men also defeated the Heritage School in Newnan 11-4, with goals scored by Luis Delgado, Austin Henderson, Nick Potts, Michael Cochran, Mauricio Centeno, Rodolfo Infante-Estrada, Tyler Robinson, and Branson Amaya-Cummings. Great job men!!

Our third shout out goes to Men’s Varsity Soccer for playing over the weekend and clobbered Paulding County 3-0. Jarrod Jackson went beast-mode scoring two goals! Awesome job men!!


Attention 9th, 10th and 11th grade student:  If you were absent during the elective registration days and have not selected your courses for next year, please report to the Media Center Computer Lab anytime today to complete this process. Course selections will go home on Friday, March 2 and must be returned with a parent signature no later than Tuesday,  March 6.


Students interested in Career Connections (formerly called Work-Based Learning) should fill out an application at Program details and requirements can be found on the web link. The Career Connections handout is available in the guidance office.

The Miss Leonine Pageant has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 17 at the Performing Arts Center. Coaches and club sponsors are encouraged to sponsor a young lady for this Central High School tradition. Applications are available in room 401; please see Ms. Phillips with questions.

Students, if you are going to prom, you must fill out a prom form. If your date does not attend Central High School, you must get a date form for your date and your must provide a copy of their driver's license.  Please see Mrs. Trumble, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. DeFriese for prom forms.  All forms must be returned by March 16.
