Morning Announcements

Central High School

Announcements for Thursday, February 22, 2018

The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones.

Today is Mock Interview Day! Students in the CTAE program will participate in mock interviews and experience a behavioral based interview that will help prepare them for entry level jobs. Students will be graded on their use of soft skills, such as making eye contact, shaking hands, and friendliness. Students will bring their cover letter, resume, and references. We have 20 companies that have volunteered their time and will be represented in Interview Day this year. Best of luck to all our CTAE students today.

Today’s first shout out goes to the Central High School Tennis Teams. The teams split with Mt Zion. The boys defeated Mt Zion 4-1 with wins from Mikiah Johnson, Sachal Denney, Hunter Robinson, Caleb Wiggins, Lance Crawford, Derek Bolden, & Blaise Bergiel. The girls win came from the #1 doubles Victoria Richardson and Dalila Sanchez.

Students interested in Career Connections (formerly called Work-Based Learning) should fill out an application at Program details and requirements can be found on the web link. The Career Connections handout is available in the guidance office.
