The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones.

Teachers -- This is a reminder, please check Ms. Jones’ email regarding students who need to report to the Media Center for NAEP testing between 9:00 a.m. and noon today.

SHOUT OUT

Today’s first big shout out goes to the Lady Lions Soccer Team for clobbering Temple 8-0. Summer Ligon scored 3 goals, Emily Ruiz scored 2 goals, Hannah Puckett, Jenna Lillie, and Madeline Potts each scored a goal.  Rocio Sierra earned the shutout. Great job Ladies!

Our second shout out goes to the Lions Varsity Baseball Team for defeating Carver yesterday 10-0. Logan Velez had 5 strikeouts and Tre Singleton and Drew Carroll finished the game with 2 strike outs. Austin Helton and Kaden Taylor led the offense with both hitting doubles. Davis LeBlanc, Andrew Allums, and Noah Taylor added to the offensive attack. The Lions are back in action on Friday against Newnan.

Our third shout out goes to the Men’s Soccer team for continuing their winning streak with an 8-0 win against Temple. Logan Blanchard got the shutout as the goalie. Leading the Lions in goals scored were Louis Delgado 2 goals, Miguel Esparza, Jarod Jackson, Will McJury, Mauricio Centeno, Jay Yoder and Daniel Rivera each had a goal. Ricky Vaughn had 3 assists

Our final shout out goes to the Central High School Tennis Teams. The girls defeated Cedartown 4-1. with wins from Emily Justice, Elle Jones, Anna Carnes, Katie Schmittou, Madison Spruell, and Lauren Buchanan. The boys won with Luke Reid in 3 singles. The Tennis Teams travel to Mt. Zion.

This week is FFA Week! Wednesday: Wear Your Favorite FFA Chapter Shirt for FFA Day at Carroll EMC.

Thursday: Support the organization donning the official FFA colors - National Blue and Corn Gold. That evening we will be hosting a percentage night at American Pie. Stop by or order to-do as the proceeds will support our Ag in the Classroom outreach.

Friday: FFA Members make sure you have your membership card and come to the ag department for our Member Appreciation Lunch during your lunch period.

The Miss Leonine Pageant has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 17 at the Performing Arts Center. Coaches and club sponsors are encouraged to sponsor a young lady for this Central High School tradition. Applications are available in room 401; please see Ms. Phillips with questions.

Students, if you are going to prom, you must fill out a prom form. If your date does not attend Central High School, you must get a date form for your date and your must provide a copy of their driver's license.  Please see Mrs. Trumble, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. DeFriese for prom forms.  All forms must be returned by March 16.

JV tennis travels to Mt. Zion and JV baseball plays in Bremen. Come out and support our Central Lions!
