The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones.

ATTENTION CCA STUDENTS: You do not need to skip CCA for the pep rally. You should attend class as scheduled.


Our first shoutout goes to tennis players Caleb Wiggins and Hunter Robinson on their wins yesterday at LaGrange.

Kindness week continues. Today is Fill in the Blank Friday.  "I am... " banner will be hanging outside cafeteria for students to write positive self-affirmations.  We hope to fill the banner up with positive statements.  


FFA week is next week! According to a proclamation by Carroll County Commissioner Marty Smith, Central High School is celebrating the week From Monday, Feb 19, to Saturday, Feb 24

Monday: Red, White, and Blue Day - The first National FFA Week was observed in 1948 and continues to be centered around the birthday of Georgia Washington. Since it is President's Day, lets deck out in our red, white, and blue!

Tuesday: Wear Green to be Green - Come participate in our after school community service to clean up our stretch of road in front of the school until 4:30 pm.

Wednesday: Wear Your Favorite FFA Chapter Shirt for FFA Day at Carroll EMC

Thursday: Support the organization donning the official FFA colors - National Blue and Corn Gold. That evening we will be hosting a percentage night at American Pie. Stop by or order to-do as the proceeds will support our Ag in the Classroom outreach.

Friday: FFA Members make sure you have your membership card and come to the ag department for our Member Appreciation Lunch during your lunch period.

Saturday: Students will be combining for a service day with Mt. Zion FFA. If any students are interested in being a part of this county-wide community service, please see an agriculture teacher or find us on Facebook. Breakfast and Lunch are provided.

Attention Students:  All 9th-11th grade students that signed up to take the Accuplacer for West Georgia Technical College should report to the guidance office to pick up their test ticket.  We will be running a morning and afternoon session due to the amount of students that signed up.

Any 12th grade student that signed up will be notified of the upcoming test date in March once it has been scheduled.

The Miss Leonine Pageant has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 17 at the Performing Arts Center. Coaches and club sponsors are encouraged to sponsor a young lady for this Central High School tradition. Applications are available in room 401; please see Ms. Phillips with questions.

If you are interested in participating in the basketball shoot out during the pep rally on Friday, please stop by Coach Perryman's room, room 632, and sign up on the sheet outside the door. Put your name and your grade. We will draw names out of a hat on Friday.

Students, if you are going to prom, you must fill out a prom form. If your date does not attend Central High School, you must get a date form for your date and your must provide a copy of their driver's license.  Please see Mrs. Trumble, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Defriese for prom forms.  All forms must be returned by March 16.

West Georgia Technical College will be on our campus on Thursday morning, February 15 at 8:15 a.m. in the Media Center Computer Lab giving the ACCUPLACER Exam. The ACCUPLACER is a free entrance exam to gain admission to West Georgia Technical College. This test date is specifically for students in 9th through 11th grade who are interested in participating in the Dual Enrollment program.  Another ACCUPLACER will be scheduled in late March for seniors who are interested in enrolling at West Georgia Technical College after high school graduation. If you are interested in taking the ACCUPLACER on February 15, please drop by the Guidance Office to sign-up for the test.

AP Exam registration is open today through February 19; please see the QR codes posted around campus, on Facebook, the Guidance Office webpage or Ms. Zerr for the link to register. All Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be registered for online at

Varsity Baseball takes on Bowdon today. Tomorrow, soccer takes on Lamar County and varsity baseball travels to South Paulding. Come out and support our Lions!
