The mission of Central High School is to provide all students with educational opportunities through a challenging curriculum which meets the needs of a diverse school community.

Teachers -- Please check dress code, get rid of food and drinks from outside vendors, have students spit out gum and remove hoods. Only earbuds are used on campus, not Beat headphones.

Attention Students: Central High School will not accept deliveries for Valentine’s Day.

NEW NEWS

Our first shoutout goes to the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams! Yesterday, the Tennis Teams defeated Villa Rica. The girls defeated Villa Rica 5-0. The wins came from Emily Justice, Elle Jones, Anna Carnes, Katie Schmittou, Madison Spruell, Lauren Buchanan, and Karlee Eidson. Boys defeated Villa Rica 3-2. The wins came from Luke Reid, Garner Duffey, Landon Schulenburg, Mason Harden, and Dalton Lewis.

Kindness week continues! Today is Tech-Free Tuesday. A small section of the cafeteria will be used for a tech free zone and will have conversation starters on the tables for the students to get out of their comfort zone and talk to each other. Students who participate will receive candy.

The Miss Leonine Pageant has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 17 at the Performing Arts Center. Coaches and club sponsors are encouraged to sponsor a young lady for this Central High School tradition. Applications are available in room 401; please see Ms. Phillips with questions.

If you are interested in participating in the basketball shoot out during the pep rally on Friday, please stop by Coach Perryman's room, room 632, and sign up on the sheet outside the door. Put your name and your grade. We will draw names out of a hat on Friday.

Students, if you are going to prom, you must fill out a prom form. If your date does not attend Central High School, you must get a date form for your date and your must provide a copy of their driver's license.  Please see Mrs. Trumble, Mrs. Wooten, or Mrs. Defriese for prom forms.  All forms must be returned by March 16.

West Georgia Technical College will be on our campus on Thursday morning, February 15 at 8:15 a.m. in the Media Center Computer Lab giving the ACCUPLACER Exam. The ACCUPLACER is a free entrance exam to gain admission to West Georgia Technical College. This test date is specifically for students in 9th through 11th grade who are interested in participating in the Dual Enrollment program.  Another ACCUPLACER will be scheduled in late March for seniors who are interested in enrolling at West Georgia Technical College after high school graduation. If you are interested in taking the ACCUPLACER on February 15, please drop by the Guidance Office to sign-up for the test.

AP Exam registration is open today through February 19; please see the QR codes posted around campus, on Facebook, the Guidance Office webpage or Ms. Zerr for the link to register. All Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be registered for online at https://sites.google.com/carrollcountyschools.com/ap-exams/home.
